The Snowball cocktail was huge in the 1970s and is now enjoying a well-deserved renaissance. This fizz-enhanced version is by yours truly.

Ingredients

  • 2 fluid ounces champagne (or sparkling wine)
  • 1 fluid ounce sherry
  • 1⁄2 fluid ounce lime cordial
  • 2 fluid ounces liqueur
  •   lime zest twist
  •   cacao powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare garnish of lime zest twist and cacao powder.
  2. POUR sparkling wine into chilled glass.
  3. Shake other 3 ingredients with ice.
  4. Fine strain over sparkling wine in the glass.
  5. express lime zest twist over cocktail and discard.
  6. Dust with cacao powder.
